York House

York House is a community-based correctional treatment program designed to offer TYC youth an opportunity to transition back into society as more responsible young men.

Programming stresses accountability and responsibility. All residents are first required to complete Independent Living Skills classes and community service. Youth are eligible to work after all educational requirements are satisfied.

Youth at York House also participate in Fatherhood group, Cognitive Life Skills group, Anger Management, and Chemical Dependency Education groups. Some youth also qualify for Driver's Education classes.

York House also utilizes volunteers from the community to enhance the opportunities for the youth. Volunteers participate in religious, recreational and educational activities. All volunteer activities focus on direct service with the youth.
