    Gov. Perry Appoints Nelson as Chair of Medicaid Reform Waiver Legislative Oversight Committee
    Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Sen. Jane Nelson of Flower Mound as chair of the Medicaid Reform Waiver Legislative Oversight Committee for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. Pursuant to Senate Bill 7 of the 82nd Legislative Session, the committee will facilitate the design and development of the state's Medicaid reform waiver, and facilitate a smooth transition from existing Medicaid payment systems and benefit designs to the new model enabled by the waiver.

    Geise Named Governor’s Mansion Administrator
    Liz Geise has been named administrator of the Texas Governor's Mansion, where she will be responsible for the operation, use and maintenance of the Governor's Mansion and surrounding grounds. The mansion administrator works closely with the governor and first lady, and also coordinates with the State Preservation Board, Texas Historical Commission and Friends of the Texas Governor's Mansion to preserve the property. The mansion has served as the official residence for Texas governors and their families since 1856, is the fourth oldest continuously occupied governor's residence in the U.S., and the oldest governor's mansion west of the Mississippi River.

    Gov. Perry Announces TEF Investment in Continental Automotive Systems Inc. to Create 300 Jobs in Seguin
    Gov. Rick Perry has announced the state is investing $1.2 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) in Continental Automotive Systems Inc., to relocate production of its sensors and actuators from Europe and Asia to its plant in Seguin, creating 300 new jobs and $113 million in capital investment.
